Look Who Came for a Visit

Gallatin firefighters came today, in the form of clowns, and educated us on fire safety. We were entertained and learned a lot. We certainly appreciate all that our firefighters do.

Miss Callie got called up in front of the entire audience by Mr. Wix because of her outstanding school behavior this week. She performed a magic trick with author Michael Shoulders. Good job Callie.

Mrs. Wilkinson and I were in a beauty pageant together, and Mrs. Black, our second grade teacher at the time, came to see us.

Who would have thought we would ever be teaching second grade together one day? I absolutely love working with these ladies... We go WAY back, haha. ;)

Laps for Learning

The Laps for Learning Walk-A-Thon went great. I hope our class is able to bring in LOTS of pledge money. Collection days are Thursday and Friday, March 21 and 22. Remember, Spring Break begins next week. Enjoy and stay safe!

Celebrating Dr. Seuss

We had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss. Our t-shirts turned out fantastic... thanks to parent volunteers. Shayne also did a great job reading for the radio. :)

Here is the second grade class singing at Richland Senior Living, next door to J.W. Wiseman. It was a nice way for our students to give back during the season of giving. They did an awesome job.

Second Grade Feast

Thank you parents for the Feast food that you provided our second grade students. I think it's safe to say they enjoyed it... a lot. Look at those faces! The students and I certainly appreciate your contribution. Your help made this a very special day for all of us.

Thanksgiving Poems and Jokes

My students are excellent readers. Even when given a challenge, they still know how to use their best reading voice with expression and fluency. That is exactly what they did today. I was so proud of their performance before the Thanksgiving Feast this morning. Thank you parents for joining us. Your support means everything. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! :)

PTO Fall Ball

If you didn't get the chance to stop by the Fall Ball last Satuday night, you really missed out. It was fun for all ages... and spooky too. Our PTO did a fabulous job putting it together for all the kids and their families at J.W. Wiseman. We owe them a huge "Thank you!"
