Christmas Writings

We have been working hard on two Christmas writing projects.
The first one is a letter to Santa. We learned that friendly letters have special parts, such as the heading, greeting, body, closing, and signature. We wrote Santa and asked for three toys. The letters will be sent o him on Wednesday, December 21. Hopefully, he will get them before he and his reindeer take off on Christmas Eve.
On the stockings, students wrote about three wishes they had that would change the world. Some wrote about family, soldiers, children, and animals. All the wishes were very thoughtful, and if they came true, really would change our world. If you get a chance, you need to stop by and read them. They are very impressive!

High School Visitors

The Portland High School Speech Team came by for a visit. They put on skits, danced, and sang with our students this morning. It was nice to have a little Christmas entertainment in between tests. Portland's Speech Team is extremely talented and did a wonderful job, as always!

Snow

We have a new student in our classroom. Her name is Ashleigh, and we just love her. Ashleigh moved to Portland from Florida. She saw snow for the first time in her life just the other day. I just had to take a picture of her outside, in the snow. She was so excited!

Alexis's Last Day

We were so sad to see Alexis leave last week. Her new school is lucky to have her. David also moved, and we are going to miss him as well. We hope the both of you make lots of new friends!

Thanksgiving Fun

Our Thanksgiving Feast was so tasty. We really enjoyed spending time with our friends and family during this special time. Thanks to everyone who attended the feast as well as the skits we had in our room following it. Your support means everything to us!
