Live Valentine

Gabby's parents ordered her a singing valentine. Students from Westmoreland's choir sang "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts band. It was really sweet and funny all at the same time. We were all surprised, especially Gabby!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was quite exciting. In the morning, we swapped classes for Math Madness. In my classroom, we worked on multiplication. In Mrs. Box, Mrs. Black, and Mrs. Vinson's classes the students made graphs, played Suduko, and compared numbers. Later, we had our Valentines party. Each kid decorated a box for their cards. I loved how they turned out! We had lots of fun!!!!

I Have a Dream...

Our January family projects were titled I Have a Dream, after Marting Luther King Jr.'s famous speech. Students and their families came up with a dream that would change the world. For example: No more cancer, children to have good families, and end starvation. They were all very sweet and thoughtful.

Christmas Fun

Our Christmas party was fun and relaxing. We brought our blankets and snuggled up with a good book. Since the party was in the morning, we ate Hardees biscuits and some goodies that our wonderful parents made. The students worked hard on their ornaments. They were tricky, but we finally finished them. I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas break and Santa was good to you!

Holidays Around the World is a program that we try to bring to Wiseman every year for our second grade students. Each class was able to experience the different holidays that are celebrated all around the world. We had lots of fun dressing up and playing games. Thank you parents for your donations, which allowed us to experience this wonderful program.

December Family Projects

It's been a while since I've posted pictures... Hopefully I will get caught up soon!
Here are our December family projects. Each kid worked with his or her family to create a gingerbread man. Some were disguised while others were real gingerbread men. I was quite impressed with how they turned out. The kids enjoyed presenting them and even eating a couple of the edible ones. :)
